leaks and does not hold heat
I love the concept and design of this piece but I've owned two now and they both leak. I never take it on the road without a napkin tied around the lid to catch the drips. I've stained shirts just taking a sip. Also, it doesn't hold heat well. After trying several other brands I highly recommend Oxo Good Grips LiquiSeal Travel Mug. It's stainless steel inside (yay, no plastic!) and tight as a drum. I've re-purposed the "paper cup" as my desk mug at work.
Some leakage
We found some leakage problems with the lids after a few uses.
Not a good thing with travel mugs.
Love the concept, look and feel of the mugs. But we no longer use for travel.
Good product, but can't get rid of chemical smell of the lid
Love the product and great idea. But the lid still smells like chemicals - I've washed it at least a dozen times and tried soaking it, but can't get rid of smell. Not only must the smell be unhealthy, but it ruins the taste of coffee.
Dishwasher safe!
I love this coffee mug! The ceramic mug and silicone lid are completely dishwasher safe.
This is really important to me. It's been through the washer many times and comes out like new every time.
It never leaks. The lid and cup do not stain. Coffee stays nice and hot.
I wish it was a little larger, but it's probably better for me not to drink so much coffee!
Highly recommended.
Brilliant and Sensible
This mug is great. The mug does not overheat, but stays plesantly warm, and the plastic lid does not have any gross smell or taste (which many of my other and newer travel mugs have. It also has the wonderful ability to cause co-workers to do a double take when I'm drinking out of it and they want to hold it and have one of for themselves. I am tempted to write "ceci n'est une tasse de papier".
